Clearbit natively supports Universal Analytics when creating Visitor Audiences in Clearbit Advertising. This guide shows you how to build visitor audiences with Google Analytics 4 properties. In summary, sync Clearbit to Google Analytics, create a GA audience, and link your GA account with your Google Ads account.
Creating a Remarketing Audience using a GA4 property:
1. Ensure that your Google Analytics account is connected with Clearbit and that your User-Scoped Custom Dimensions are set up.
Refer to step 4 of our Legacy: Set up Clearbit data sync with Google Analytics 4 guide.
2. Ensure that your Google Ads account is linked to your Google Analytics 4 Property.
In Google Analytics, navigate to Admin > Product Links > Google Ads Links, and add your Google Ads account if it is not already.
3. Create an Audience in your GA4 Property.
In Google Analytics, navigate to Admin > Data display > Audiences, and create a New audience.
4. Create a remarketing audience in your Google Ads account.
In Google Ads, navigate to Tools > Audience manager, and choose the Audience created in the connected Google Analytics account (step 3).
