Troubleshoot Prospector for Salesforce

This guide outlines some initial troubleshooting steps if your prospector tool is not working. If these steps do not fix the issue, please reach out to support@clearbit.com
šĀ Please note: Many of the steps below assume you are using Salesforce Classic. If you are using Lightning Experience, you may find some settings in slightly different places, particularly those related to account/lead/contact/etc. objects.
Skip Ahead to:
- Make sure the affected user has permission to use Prospector.
- Make sure the affected user has Prospector credits available.
Make sure the affected user has permission to use Prospector.
- Go to theĀ Clearbit SettingsĀ tab, and click Account.
- Find the affected user in the list.
- Make sureĀ both theĀ Permission SetĀ andĀ ProspectorĀ boxes are checked. Both of these checkboxes are required to access Prospector. If they are not checked, then a user will not have permission to use the tool.
Make sure the affected user has Prospector credits available.
- Go to theĀ Clearbit SettingsĀ tab >Ā AccountĀ >Ā Manage Prospector Credits.
- Find the affected user in the list.
- ClickĀ Edit quota.
- Assign the desired number of credits under theĀ Credit quotaĀ column.
- ClickĀ Save changes.
