Are API Responses Cached?
Yes, however, the response times can vary. A request for an email/domain that has been reindexed within the past 30 days will return very quickly (low hundreds of milliseconds).
A request for an email/domain that is not in our database OR has been reindexed over 30 days ago will return almost instantly! (with a status of 202
…in the meantime we’ll reindex that record, which can take up to a couple of seconds)
How Quick Should We Expect a Webhook Response to Be?
When using Webhooks, there's no estimate of how long it may take but it does typically take longer than non-webhook users. Customers who don’t want to wait for delivery would use our streaming endpoints.
