Data Type - Long Text Field
If you observe that your list of tech tags in Salesforce is being cut off at a certain length even though the data type on the field is Long text, this is because Salesforce has a limit of 255 characters on reporting even on Long text data fields. You can find more information here, on salesforce reporting structure and limitations.
As a workaround for this, the customer can use Process Builder or SFDC Flow to select the specific tech tags we want to capture, and paste those specific tags into a new field.
Data Type - Multiple Picklist (max 100 values)
Clearbit offers more than 500 tech tags, but Salesforce multiple picklist limits you to 100 options. In that case, please use the top 100 tech tags that mean the most to your business (at the most). This essentially white lists the tech tags to those that are included in your picklist.
Typically, we find our customers have around 20 tech tags that are meaningful to their business. There is no need to use the max 100 values when not all of the values are important to your business.
