Understanding Clearbit System Traits

Last Updated: January 22, 2025

🔍 Please note: This article is for customers on Standard Bundle, Enrichment, or Clearbit Platform plans. If you signed up in 2024, you are on a Sales Intelligence for HubSpot plan: Free, Growth, or Business.

We're excited to introduce Clearbit System Traits as mappable fields in our Platform integrations. These System Traits include:

What is Clearbit Ready?

The Clearbit Ready system trait indicates that Clearbit has finished processing enrichment for the record. This value is set to TRUE for new and existing records at the time of each enrichment.

What is Clearbit Status?

The Clearbit Status codes indicate whether Clearbit found enrichment data matching your field mappings. This value is set to one of the following status codes for new and existing records:

  • 200 Status: This status code indicates that Clearbit has successfully found enrichment data corresponding to your field mappings.
  • 206 Status: This code signals that while Clearbit found enrichment data, it does not match your current field mappings. This could be due to changes in your field mappings or data that doesn't align with the specified mappings.
  • 404 Status: This status indicates that Clearbit was unable to locate any enrichment data to match against your field mappings. Reasons could include the record being too new or lacking the necessary information for enrichment.

The value of Clearbit Status

Clearbit Status provides a unique advantage in managing your workflows. By utilizing this status code as a workflow trigger in Salesforce, HubSpot, or Marketo, you can streamline your operations and automate specific actions.

For instance, a 200 status can indicate the process is working as planned. A 206 status, however, could trigger a review and adjustment of your field mappings. In cases of a 404 status, your workflow could pause until the necessary enrichment data becomes available.

What is Clearbit Processed At?

The Clearbit Processed At system trait indicates when Clearbit has last processed a record for enrichment. This field will be updated with a timestamp even if there is no enrichment data available, for both new and existing records when processed.

What is Clearbit Created Time?

The Clearbit Created Time system trait indicates when a record was first processed for enrichment. The field will be updated with a timestamp even if there is no enrichment data available, only for newly created records.

What is Clearbit Modified Time?

The Clearbit Modified Time system trait indicates when a record was last enriched with Clearbit data. This field will be updated with a timestamp only when there is enrichment data that was updated on the record, for both new and existing records.
