Getting started with batch enrichment
Last Updated: July 18, 2023
With batch enrichment you can upload a list of emails or domains and download an enriched list of people or companies respectively. This can be useful if you occasionally use enrichment.
Skip Ahead to:
- Understand batch pricing
- Find batch results
- Troubleshoot batches stuck in processing
- Create a batch CSV file
To access batch, in your Clearbit account, in the left sidebar menu, navigate to Batch.
Understand batch pricing
Batch is available to users with a free account. The price per row is $0.30 USD, and the total is rounded to $5 increments.
Discounts are not available for large batches. If you have large batches, the Enrichment API may be a good alternative, as large volumes are discounted on your monthly or annual subscription.
Find batch results
You can find an example response here. All the attributes returned from the API are in the CSV as columns. Data from the original CSV you uploaded won't be present, but rows will be returned in the same order.
Troubleshoot batches stuck in processing
Batches larger than 10k can take longer than usual to enrich. If your batch is stuck processing for more than 15-30 minutes, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Create a batch CSV file
Lists uploaded to batch enrichment should be in the CSV (Comma Separated Values) format, with a '.csv' extension. You should have at least one column containing either emails or company website domains. For best practices, you can remove the descriptive column headers in your file.
You can generate a CSV from any spreadsheet application. Learn more about creating and uploading your CSV.
